Gueffroy, who has been teaching swimming, life sav ing, and physical education at W illam ette University, w ill be the new physical education instructor. Florence K ing Van Etten has signed to teach commercial stud ies. She has taught sixteen years in China and is now connected w ith the Springfield high school Robinson Accepts Post at Albany High C lifford Robinson, who has been principal of Ashland Senior High fo r the past year, has accepted a position to serve in the same capacity a t Albany Senior High, the school whose competition with his home town of Corvallis dur ing his high school days is com parable w ith the time-honored rivalry erf Ashland and Medford. “As It has been a very pleas ant and successful year from the standpoint of academics, athletics and cooperation, I regret leaving Ashland H l, but the offer of a more advantageous position in a school which is so close to our MX, JOE, WHAT DO staff. Louise Brown w ill serve as dramatics and English teacher. Aikens has assumed the duties of Ashland U SO dance chairman, according to M r a Jew ell Lockhart, director of the club. Mrs. Aikens w ill be In charge of junior hostesses who atttend the midweek Camp W hite dances. She will announce through the newspa pers when these dances are to be held and on dance- dates w ill be at the clubhouse on W inburn W ay to register the hostesses who meet there fo r transportation to Camp W hite. Junior hostesses wishing Information about a Camp W hite dance o r desiring to register for a dance may phone M rs. Atkins, No. 3141. M rs. Lockhart w ill con tinue to assume responsibility for the Saturday night dances a t the Ashland USO, w ith the assistance of chosen volunteers. Senior hostesses and desk hos tess groups have been combined under one chairman since the Ashland USO went on a week-end schedule. M rs. I. F . Andres has assumed responsibility fo r this group. Teachers Announce Varied Summer Plans W orking and taking care of families seem to be the predomi nant summer plans for most at the Ashland H i teachers. Mrs. Poston, Mrs. Cook, Mrs. Van Dyke and Mrs. Lorton plan to remain in Ashland w ith their families fo r most of the vaca tion, and as M r. M iric k is to direct the city band and conduct the summer band school, he and his fa m ily w ill also stay fa irly close to home. Mrs. Good and M r. Parks have both stated that they would stay in Ashland this summer. H ie Koehlers w ill visit M r. Koehler’s home in Spokane before assuming new duties In Seattle in the fall. Moving his fam ily to Albany looms ahead as a sum mer job fo r M r. Robinson, and Miss T yrell and Miss Page will spend the vacation months in O a k land and Roseburg respectively. Mrs. Forgus will visit in Om aha, Nebraska, before moving on to her borne in St. Louis, and Mrs. Nelson plans to be w ith her husband. Coach Simpson w ill spend some of his vacation on a “busman’s holiday,” attending coaches’ school preparatory to coaching the T i gers next year. M r.
